The collection The Art of Human Body was presented in Heringsdorf, Germany in 2005 and it was a winner of the International Fashion Award prize for Experimental fashion. The aim of the collection was to research the relationship between the human body and clothing. Furthermore, it is challenging the whole concept of cloth: for instance if there is picture projected on your body, are you dressed? Or, what is the distinction between cloth and jewelry? The collection is also testing different kind of materials. We see pieces made of metal, horse hair, wood, paper, crystal…
Moreover, the issues such as sexuality in fashion, and the different kind of beauty understandings are discussed in making the collection.
The aim of the collection was to create sculptures in which the body and the cloth form one single unit accomplishing each other.
Kieppi-collection was presented in Luzern, Switzerland, 2002. The collection is telling a story of the Finnish nature, and the changing of the seasons. The materials vary from paper, representing the first flakes of snow, to softer materials such as knitwear and fur. Some old techniques of the Finnish handcrafts are used. The textiles of the collection are made by Henna Puhakka.
This is a work wear collection designed for paper company Ahlstrom. The clothes have to be usable in very various working conditions featuring hot, cold, and even sparks of fire. Those are conditions that many sports wear clothes have to answer. Thus, where the day at work might be as a sport performance, many features of the sport clothes are used in this collection in its materials and cuts. The collection won a first prize in the Lindstrom Award (working wear design) competition in 2004.
